Geocaching has become my new hobby. With less than 20 finds under my belt, I am now a Premium Member. There is a lot to learn about geocaching. It’s a global treasure hunt (that seems to be very popular in Germany, my country of birth).
More Geocaching
Saturday, February 28, 2015 – about 5″ of snow on the ground and 30 degree temps. I found my first cache buddy, Misty the Maine Coon Cat that had been sitting in one of the caches below for about 2 years. I moved her to a new location. Happy trails Misty!
Friday, March 6, 2015 – about 8″ of snow on the ground and 20 degree temps. Found this cache on the way to Massanutten for a day of skiing, bruising, and lots of soreness. Great workout.
Geocaching – A Real World Adventure
3 Steps to Begin Your Adventure
1. Free apps for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone use your phone’s built-in GPS to guide you to geocaches.
2. Pick a geocache and then use the app to navigate to its location.
3. Share your experience.
Once you find it, sign and date the logbook, re-hide the geocache exactly how you found it, and share your experience online.
7 finds for my first two days of geocaching. So awesome!
